To be a self-sustained, confident, healthy, productive adult and member of society … There is a lot that we need to know. And as parents in a society focused on all the wrong things, our kids are not always prepared to go out into the world as adults who know how to take care of themselves and build a fulfilling life.
What kids learn in school is all good and fine, but as parents, we have to do more. In today’s episode, I’m talking about the importance of messaging—how we talk about ourselves and others—for our kids. I’m talking about instilling confidence, self-worth, and healthy boundaries in our kids.
As parents, we can be the safe space that our kids need to learn to be themselves, try new things, explore, and grow so that they can make good decisions for themselves as adults.
I just released my first book, MINDSET MASTER MIND: 10 Steps to Change Your Life Forever, and I’m currently writing one about 30 things to do before you’re 30 (or 40, 50, 60, …), so stay tuned for that!
What’s in this episode:
Why I’m writing a book about 30 things to do before you’re 30
Helping a child understand their worth from a young age
Arming kids with the knowledge they need to make it in society as an adult
The importance of learning and failing
Why playing it safe doesn’t serve you
