Episode 80: I Fell Off My Horse

The universe recently brought me a mentor, and it shifted my perspective completely. I thought I knew everything. I thought I was the smartest person in the room. I bet that you can relate on some level. My new mentor brought me back to reality and knocked me off my high horse.

In today’s episode, I’m talking about why we have to challenge ourselves to expand and grow beyond what we think we know about ourselves and the world around us. When we step into our being, instead of just “trying,” that is where we truly grow and shine.

When you think you know it all, you are limiting yourself to only your perspective. The world is like a kaleidoscope. Full of different kinds of people, thoughts, cultures, traditions, and religions.

Own who you are. Step into your power. And walk through life with an openness to learn from someone who looks, lives, and believes differently than you. This is how we should approach humanity.

What’s in this episode:

  • How a mentor can help you see life differently

  • Why I am stepping into my full knowing and true self in my work

  • Why thinking we know it all actually limits us

  • How to challenge yourself and open up to new experiences

  • The importance of pushing yourself to learn beyond what you were taught in school and church

  • Why you need to challenge everything you’ve ever been taught

  • My life-changing trip to India and why we should all experience different cultures and traditions

  • Why you have to stop trying and start being
